Regional Administrator Region VII
Stille will update attendees on all of OSHA’s new and ongoing activities in the areas of cooperative programs, enforcement and standards, as well as additional OSHA activities.
Bio: Kimberly has been the Regional Administrator for the US Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Region VII Kansas City Area Office, since October 2016. Prior to this appointment, she was the Regional Administrator of the Region I Boston Area Office.
Stille joined OSHA in 1987 after having been employed as a Bacteriologist with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. She has held various positions within OSHA, including serving as an Industrial Hygienist in the Region V Peoria Area Office, and as an Assistant Area Director in the Region VI Little Rock Area Office. She held multiple positions within OSHA Region V, including Acting Deputy Regional Administrator, Acting Assistant Regional Administrator for Enforcement Programs, and Area Director in the Madison Area Office and Eau Claire District Office. She also served as the Acting Deputy Director for Enforcement Programs in the OSHA National Office.
Vice President, Health and Safety
Hannum will discuss the critical aspects of creating a high-performance culture by switching from a compliance mindset to a risk-based mindset, which engages and empowers the entire workforce.
Bio: Hannum is the VP, Health and Safety at McWane Inc. based in Birmingham, Alabama. McWane conducts business throughout North America and the world. Their major plants by industry include four pipe facilities, four valve and hydrant facilities, seven soil pipe and utility fittings facilities, seven tank manufacturing facilities, one fire extinguisher facility and four technology companies.
Prior to joining McWane, Hannum spent over 20 years working in a variety of positions in the chemical industry. He held positions in operations at the plant level and various positions at the corporate level for Reichhold Chemical. He also spent five years as a member of Koch Industries Audit and Advisory Team assisting multiple industries with culture transformation through the audit process. Mickey has extensive international experience, which has guided his thought process for adding culture and employee interaction into program implementation.
Mickey holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology and Occupational Safety from Illinois State University. He is also the President and founder of Optimized Safety Solutions.
